Chase & Partners advised Land Securities on the asset management of Corby town centre, which includes Corporation Street, Oasis Retail Park and Willow Place since the purchase of this asset from Tops Estates in 2005.

We advised on the long-term strategy for the urban regeneration of the town centre, acting throughout the development of the new 100,000 sq ft Willow Place shopping centre, which provided much needed modern shopping facilities. New tenants attracted to the town by this development included Primark (40,000 sq ft), River Island, H&M Hennes, Jane Norman, TK Maxx, The Body Shop, Clarks, Vision Express and Burger King.

We also dealt with the existing estate: devising a long term strategy; implementing buy-ins of existing leases; relocations; new lettings; re-design; sub-divisions; extensions; strategic land purchases. Recent asset management activities have significantly reduced the number of voids in the town centre, driving rental income and capital value. Tenants who have relocated to larger premises within the town include HSBC, Argos, New Look, WH Smith, Wilkinson's and Café Con Leche.
